CELINE has just unveiled its Fall-Winter 2026 scarf collection, with new creative director Michael Rider turning the scarf into a canvas of inspiration. The designs incorporate iconic house symbols such as the Triomphe, chain links, and carriage emblem, alongside whimsical illustrations of personified moons, suns, ribbons, and horses, resulting in a richly artistic and expressive lineup.

The scarf is one of Michael Rider's most significant design elements—from the debut show invitation and suit lapels to trench coat linings and flowing hemlines. No longer confined to the neck, scarves have become decorative components on garments, handbags, and headwear, creating a visual tension between sensuality and restraint, while lending a graceful, rhythmic motion to every silhouette.

Michael Rider, fashion designer, American nationality, graduated from Brown University, previously served as Céline ready-to-wear design director (2008–2018), Polo Ralph Lauren creative director (2018–2024), and CELINE creative director (2025–present).

The new scarves come in a 90x90cm size, crafted from 100% mulberry silk with a light, silky, and fluid drape, finished with hand-rolled edges and made entirely in Italy. Each scarf is priced at ¥4,900.

This group of scarves depicts an illustration of the sun and moon in a kiss, with personified figures set against a playful yellow-and-blue palette that feels both whimsical and artistic.

These scarf designs feature iconic house symbols like the Triomphe, chain links, and carriage emblem, combined with vibrant colors, playful horse illustrations, and poster-style collages, infusing the scarves with dynamic energy.

You'll also find color-block brushstrokes, gift-wrapping ribbons, tie and belt prints, showcasing Michael Rider's boundless creativity with scarf elements.
