· New Bags | Hermès Presents Spring/Summer 2027 Womenswear Show: Shapes of Air ·

The Hermès Spring/Summer 2027 women's show has just wrapped at the Garde Républicaine headquarters in Paris. This season's theme, "The Shape of Air," sees women's artistic director Nadège Vanhée working with featherweight openwork knits, leather mesh, silk crepe, and ultra-fine calfskin to create a sense of airy movement. Adjustable zippers on trench coats, skirts, and trousers allow the silhouette to be reshaped at will, lending the clothes sculptural drape and a fluid, effortless dynamism.

· Bucket Bags ·

The new Mangeoire bucket bag reaches back to a 1949 archival design, its bucket silhouette inspired by a horse feed bag and carrying on the house's equestrian DNA. This season's standout detail is a scattering of irregular circular cutouts across the body, giving the bag a sense of breathing room and nodding cleverly to the "Shape of Air" theme. The original twisted-rope handle has been replaced with metal, for a bold, sculptural look.

The Sac à dos Toron backpack brings a fishing-net motif into the mix, pairing breathable mesh with soft calfskin trim to trace a silhouette that feels light yet dimensional. Instead of wrapping the body in leather, the leather is cleverly used as structure to support the shape, giving the craftsmanship a relaxed, vacation-ready ease.

The Militaire bucket bag arrives in a compact size, with an H canvas body, Hunter calfskin trim, and a discreet Clou de Selle stud as the finishing touch. The Petit Bel-il also takes on canvas, its leather drawstring paired with a signature clasp for a clever closure—a gender-neutral design that captures an elegant sporty spirit.

· Bridlelock ·

The new Bridlelock bag calls to mind the Toolbox from 2010, itself inspired by a vintage toolbox. It features a milk-carton-style top opening with a palladium-finish square metal clasp, while a tubular handle and long strap attach to the sides via D-rings, allowing it to be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or crossbody. It comes in a range of colors including earth tones, elephant gray, bright white, and black.

· Rênes ·

The Rênes bag shapes a minimalist trapezoid in soft calfskin, its triangular side cuts and magnetic top frame giving it an architectural, structured stance. Leather tabs at either side add a lively detail—a gentle pull on the ties opens the bag, lending the clean design an offhand ease.

· Ring Bag ·

The Ring Bag, born in the 1950s, returns as a neat belt bag, keeping its envelope flap and signature ring clasp. Crafted in smooth Box calfskin, its crisp lines project a polished, no-nonsense attitude.

· Cadena ·

A new shoulder bag builds a compact, lightweight cylindrical shape in Swift calfskin, its top zip finished with the signature H padlock detail. The Saut bag pairs an open-top hobo silhouette with a Cadena padlock, striking a vintage yet elegant note.

· Sac De Jour ·

The Sac De Jour tote is pieced together from two leathers with distinct textures—Togo and Swift calfskin—with exposed stitching tracing clean lines. The strap running across the top of the body takes its cue from a stirrup leather, continuing the classic equestrian heritage. Inside, the bag is generously roomy and lined in H canvas, while wide accordion gussets give the body a structured, hard-wearing shape that stays firm and poised whether open or closed.

· Kelly Hobo ·

The Kelly Hobo carries on the design language of the So-Kelly, shaping a clean, fluid bucket silhouette in Chéri calfskin with the signature Touret turn-lock as its focal point. Seams on either side of the clasp extend into an adjustable shoulder strap. This season brings new colorways including bright white, sesame, and dark brown.

· And More ·

The Garden Party Voyage comes in "Orange Sunset" H canvas with tonal leather trim, its vivid hue bringing energy to spring and summer looks. The Petit Sac mini bag is a study in symmetry, shaping a slender, fluid crescent in Box calfskin, with H-shaped metal clasps cleverly integrated at either side of the D-ring handle so it can be carried by hand or on the arm—a light design with a breezy, easygoing air. The Étrivière Shopping tote makes its asymmetric strap the headline detail, inspired by the equestrian girth used to secure a saddle; an adjustable buckle lets it be carried by hand or on the shoulder.
