The Prada Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show has just wrapped in Milan, and this season's collection takes "The Skirt" as its theme. Co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons built their ideas around the skirt as a timeless wardrobe staple, playing with unexpected design elements — contrast-color Velcro, crystal embroidery, metal snap fasteners, and regenerated nylon — and mixing and matching pieces to explore the endless creative possibilities that exist within a framework of constraint.

The new season's bags center on an east-west horizontal silhouette, paired with slender leather handles that can be carried by hand or slung over the shoulder for a crisp, confident attitude. The new Galleria is given a contrast-color effect through a spray-dye process, accented by a tonal enamel triangle logo — like a graffiti work still in progress.

The new bags pair a clean rectangular outline with a top zip closure, their crisp geometric lines embodying a "less is more" minimalist ethos. This group is crafted in cotton canvas, with the brand logo reduced to a solid-color triangle that echoes the enamel triangle logo at the side, and comes in shades including snow white, grass green, iris purple, black, and gray.

The same line also introduces cutout leather and python versions, whose geometric openwork of interlocking dots and dashes carries a distinctly retro-futuristic feel.

The all-new Prada Duel bag features an elongated shape with a double-sided short flap, while a buckle and leather strap lend it a collegiate touch.

The Romy bag is designed with a full flap and side gussets, resembling a notebook carried in the hand for a vintage, scholarly air. It comes in materials ranging from solid-color leather to python and crocodile.

The new Geste and Courbe bags are defined by a vintage kiss-lock frame — one in a structured doctor's-bag silhouette, the other in a trapezoidal shape — for an elegant, chic mood.

This red crocodile bag pairs a rectangular silhouette with a top flap closure; the precious crocodile material and clean geometric construction give it an elegant, luxurious presence.

The Route, Bonnie, and Passage bags return in python or crocodile, rendered in vivid shades of amber, grass green, royal blue, and ruby red to add a bright note to any look.

The Prada Deco bag stands out for its Art Deco–style jewel clasp: a nail-polish-shaped lock in metal and rhinestones, with a twist-to-open mechanism that works like a clever little device, adding a sense of ceremony to opening the bag.
