· IN-BAG | Louis Vuitton's Limited-Edition Woody Wagon Fragrance Set: Inspired by the California Coast ·

Louis Vuitton has teamed up with American contemporary artist Alex Israel to unveil a limited-edition fragrance set, the “Woody Wagon Colognes.” Inspired by the classic California “woody wagon” of the 20th century, this new creation houses six men’s colognes in a handcrafted miniature wagon, paying tribute to California’s road-trip and surf culture.

The woody wagon is an icon of mid-20th-century American surf culture, known for its wooden body and rooftop rack designed to carry surfboards. The new “Woody Wagon Colognes” set is assembled from 219 individual parts and took 60 artisans 7,000 hours to craft. The body is made from mahogany and natural beige semi-vegetable-tanned leather, with the brand’s iconic Monogram pattern engraved on the wooden panels and metal hubcaps. A gradient-colored surfboard model adorns the top.

Open the roof to reveal six seats designed to hold the fragrances, featuring six men’s colognes crafted by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud: “Afternoon Swim,” “Pacific Chill,” “Sun Song,” “California Dream,” “City of Stars,” and “On the Beach.” Inspired by ocean waves, citrus fruits, summer sunshine, California sunsets, Los Angeles nightlife, and coastal breezes, they capture the scenery and scents of California at different times of day.

The new “Woody Wagon Colognes” set is expected to launch in late September, limited to just 66 pieces worldwide — a nod to Route 66, the iconic American highway connecting Chicago to the California coast, and one of the most classic road-trip routes in the United States.

Also launching are three limited-edition travel spray cases, crafted from translucent resin with a Monogram pattern and gradient colors drawn from the sunlight, sunset, and ocean vistas of the West Coast. Each is limited to 100 pieces.
