From August 30, 2026 to January 14, 2027, the French perfume house Henry Jacques brings its new pop-up fragrance space, "La Maison Éphémère," to Shanghai Plaza 66, unveiling an exclusive Shanghai scent, "L'Île de HJ." Guests are invited to linger for a fleeting moment and embark on a fragrant journey.

This marks Henry Jacques's first pop-up fragrance space in mainland China, carrying on the French aesthetic of its flagship boutique on Avenue Montaigne. Haussmannian architectural lines, Versailles-style flooring, and French garden motifs come together to create a relaxed atmosphere made for conversation. Guests can lean against the bar to sample and explore raw materials, and, guided by fragrance consultants, discover a personal scent style through memories, temperament, tastes, olfactory perception, and daily rituals.

The space brings together the brand's complete product lines, including the classic Les Classiques fragrances, the Les Exceptions haute parfumerie collection, Clic-Clac solid perfume, and the HJ Voyage travel fragrance case collection, alongside a new fragrance silver tray. Featuring the magnolia—a symbol of purity and beauty in Chinese culture—as its main design element, the tray is delicately engraved with a magnolia relief. To celebrate the opening of the pop-up fragrance space, Henry Jacques presents an exclusive Shanghai scent, "L'Île de HJ." The new creation centers on ylang-ylang, paired with a bright, uplifting top note of orange and lemongrass, a sweet and gentle heart of acacia and honeysuckle, and a woody base of sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, and benzoin, exuding a rich, seductive, and lingering intensity.

The new "L'Île de HJ" fragrance will launch exclusively at the Plaza 66 pop-up fragrance space starting October 2026. Les Essences 15ml and Les Brumes 75ml are priced at RMB 9,400, and Les Essences 30ml is priced at RMB 15,030.
