· LOUIS VUITTON Multipass Mini Bag ·

For Fall/Winter 2026, Louis Vuitton introduces the Multipass Mini handbag, crafted from the iconic Monogram canvas with a relaxed, slouchy silhouette. Contrasting VVN leather trim traces the contours, while a metal chain interwoven with leather adds a playful, artisanal touch.

· Design Inspiration ·

The Multipass handbag first appeared on the runway for Louis Vuitton's Resort 2026 show, drawing inspiration from the classic Express bag. Rendered in signature Monogram canvas or supple calfskin, its hobo silhouette features a naturally draped opening that exudes an air of effortless nonchalance. A detachable top handle and shoulder strap allow for hand, shoulder, or crossbody carry, while the leather-wrapped chain adds a refined finishing touch.

ExpressFor Fall/Winter 2026, the Multipass Mini reinterprets the classic Multipass silhouette in a compact form. Measuring 17.5 x 18 x 9.5 cm, its petite dimensions are accentuated by contrasting VVN leather side trim, making the metal chain detail all the more striking.

· Craftsmanship ·

The bag is crafted from Louis Vuitton's most recognizable coated Monogram canvas. Originally developed to cover wooden travel trunks, this material is prized for its lightweight durability and water resistance. The entire bag weighs just 235 grams, making it an effortless companion.

The Monogram pattern dates back to 1896, designed by George Vuitton, the brand's second-generation heir. It draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including the kitchen tiles of the Asnières family estate, neo-Gothic art, and Japanese motifs. The pattern weaves together LV initials and floral roundels, and can be printed or embossed on any surface—canvas, leather, faux leather, or paper. It quickly became the brand's signature, officially patented in 1897. Originally a safeguard against counterfeiting, it has since evolved into an enduring symbol of the house.

The bag's sides are adorned with VVN leather trim, whose contrasting color highlights the silhouette while providing reinforcement and structure. VVN stands for "Vache Végétale Naturelle," a natural, untreated cowhide that undergoes vegetable tanning and meticulous cutting to preserve its raw grain and supple texture. Over time, it develops a warm patina.

· Leather-Wrapped Chain ·

The most eye-catching design element is the leather-wrapped chain, where soft leather is woven through brass links. The polished hardware adds a luminous, attention-grabbing detail that showcases the maison's craftsmanship.

Beyond its decorative role, the chain can also serve as a shoulder strap, allowing for easy, playful hand, shoulder, or wrist carry.

The bag also comes with a detachable, adjustable leather strap for crossbody wear, keeping your hands free.

· What Fits Inside? ·
Despite its mini size, the Multipass bag offers surprisingly generous storage. It closes with a top zipper, and the tobacco-colored fabric lining is both lightweight and scratch-resistant. The back features the classic VVN leather tag.

We managed to fit an iPhone, a Zippy coin purse, a small wallet, keys, earphones, lipstick, and perfume. Everyday essentials slip in with ease, and even a small umbrella or a bottle of water can be accommodated. Compact yet capacious, it's the perfect blend of style and functionality.
