· CELINE Silk Scarf Teen Triomphe Bag ·

For its Summer 2026 collection, CELINE introduces the silk scarf Teen Triomphe handbag. Creative Director Michael Rider masterfully blends delicate mulberry silk with structured leather, creating a layered dialogue between materials. The scarf becomes a narrative vehicle, weaving together iconic brand symbols like the Arc de Triomphe, chain links, and carriage crest, imbuing the bag with a romantic, elegant allure.

· Design Inspiration ·
Designed by the brand's new creative director Michael Rider, this bag features an Art Deco-inspired geometric scarf print as its primary visual language. It nods to the house's early classic designs while infusing a relaxed, contemporary attitude, presenting a more inclusive brand image.

The silk scarf is a CELINE signature piece—it carries the brand's history while seamlessly integrating into modern life in endless ways.

Scarves are also one of the most eye-catching design elements on Michael Rider's runway. From the debut show invitation to suit lapels, trench coat linings, and flowing skirts, scarves transcend mere accessories. Through twisting, wrapping, and draping, they become part of the garment's structure, outlining a visual tension between sensuality and restraint, and adding a graceful, rhythmic movement to the silhouette.

· Scarf Print ·
Crafted from tan calfskin, the bag is wrapped in soft, lightweight mulberry silk and accented with a removable silk scarf charm. The densely woven twill silk boasts a smooth drape and rich, deep hues, striking a subtle balance with the crisp, structured leather trim—scholarly yet free-spirited.

The scarf features a red-and-white concentric circle pattern, with iconic CELINE symbols—the carriage crest, Paris's Arc de Triomphe, the Blason chain, the Triomphe handbag, the Lulu crescent bag, and the Cabas tote—woven into a vintage-gold chain. Above the central carriage crest reads "Un Nom, un style" (A Name, A Style), echoing Michael Rider's core philosophy in his debut show notes: "Celine stands for quality, timelessness, and style."

The side scarf charm injects a light, flowing rhythm into the bag. It can be detached via a metal buckle and worn as a standalone scarf accessory, adding a bright pop of color to any outfit.

· Triomphe Clasp ·

Returning to the bag itself—the CELINE Triomphe handbag was originally designed by former creative director Hedi Slimane in 2018. It revisits the vintage "Triomphe" clasp from CELINE's early 1970s archives and retains the classic rectangular silhouette of Phoebe Philo's Classic Box bag.

"Triomphe" means "triumph" in French, referencing the Arc de Triomphe. Both the name and design details are a re-exploration of the brand's history—in 1972, founder Céline Vipiana's car broke down near the Arc de Triomphe. While waiting for help, she noticed the chain links surrounding the square and was struck by inspiration, conceiving the two interlocking C's of the Chain Blason logo—the prototype of the Triomphe emblem.

The polished, gleaming Triomphe clasp resembles an intricate relief sculpture, packed with details worth lingering over. The clasp uses a spring-lock mechanism—just press the two C's on either side to release the lock 🔓.

· What Can This Bag Hold? ·

The Teen size is an intermediate between the small and medium in the Triomphe line, measuring 18.5x13.5x7 cm. It's especially ideal for those seeking a practical everyday bag with a more compact frame.

The interior is lined in soft, supple lambskin, with a central compartment, a zippered pocket, and front and back slip pockets. It can accommodate bulkier items like a notebook, wallet, and compact powder, while also organizing smaller essentials like phone, keys, and cards—a dream for organization enthusiasts. The innermost pocket is lined with the same silk scarf print as the exterior, creating a clever echo.

We packed a notebook, phone, tissues, earphones, perfume, lipstick, a jewelry case, cardholder, and keys. The rectangular shape and well-defined compartments make everything easy to locate at a glance.

The shoulder strap is adjustable and non-detachable, allowing for shoulder or crossbody wear—hands-free for easy movement.
