The Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2027 runway show has just wrapped in Milan. This season's collection draws inspiration from the shifting seasons of Milan, with creative director Louise Trotter starting from the concept of "lightening" to fuse the house's signature Intrecciato weaving technique with lace, crochet, fringe, knit, and other diverse materials, leaving breathing room between the garment and the body and letting the classic woven texture unfurl freely in a lighter register.

The Intrecciato weaving technique still runs through the entire collection. Bags are crafted from raffia, fabric, ultra-fine leather strips, and other materials, accented with extra-long fringe, fluffy raw edges, and tassel-like pendants. The "oversized" proportions carry dramatic tension, evoking a nomad wandering the city.

The Dust bag drawstring pouch is covered in burgundy butterfly-shaped leather appliqués, giving it a romantic, poetic feel; the shopping bag is patchworked from crochet lace motifs, its pure white hue clean and ethereal.

The pillow clutch is woven from lightweight fabric, its airy large checks adding a sense of breathability to the classic weave. The Lauren 1980 clutch cleverly combines leather with printed fabric, injecting a vacation spirit into a vintage silhouette. The basket bag is trimmed with frayed leather-strip edges, revealing an unfinished wabi-sabi beauty.

The new handbag features a rounded, fluid curved cut. Its minimalist silhouette is paired with a rope-like woven shoulder strap, striking a deft balance between rigorous restraint and easy nonchalance.

The flap bag condenses the checkered texture of the Intrecciato weave onto a metal square buckle, paired with lizard skin, woven leather, solid leather, and other materials across clean constructions, continuing the understated, logo-free ethos.

The drawstring bag takes its cue from the dust bag, its supple leather casually clutched in the hand and naturally creased, accented with slender drawstring fringes and tasseled leather knots. Soft tones of off-white, cream yellow, light khaki, and grass green render a light, relaxed spring/summer mood.

The shoulder bag pairs a minimalist rectangular silhouette with a slender Intrecciato woven strap, subtly interpreting the house's signature code through refined, understated details.
