· Louis Vuitton Speedy Trunk 25 ·

The Louis Vuitton Speedy Trunk 25 masterfully merges the practical Boston bag silhouette of the Speedy with the metal corner guards of a classic trunk. Crafted from two-tone Monogram canvas, it builds an architectural profile, while the arched handles inject an elegant grace — a true meeting of classical aesthetics and modern form.

· Speedy Silhouette ·

First unveiled in Louis Vuitton’s 2025 Pre-Fall women’s collection, the Speedy Trunk is the newest member of the brand’s trunk family. It cleverly fuses the Boston bag shape with traditional trunk-making, adding metal corner guards and rivets as decorative details that reimagine a classic design through a contemporary lens. Initially offered only in a 20 cm mini size, the Speedy Trunk 25 is a new size introduced for the Fall-Winter 2025 season, offering upgraded capacity.

Speedy Trunk
Structurally, the Speedy Trunk retains the classic Boston bag shape of the Speedy. The Speedy leather travel bag was born in 1930, designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the founder’s grandson. Originally called the “Express” travel bag, it was inspired by the era’s fascination with speed and automobiles. Based on the Keepall travel bag, it was scaled down to a more compact, everyday carryall that could be flattened and stored inside a suitcase.
In 1959, the Speedy was reissued in Monogram canvas, catching the eye of style icons like Audrey Hepburn. In 1965, Louis Vuitton custom-made a smaller Speedy 25 for Hepburn to complement her petite frame. With its timeless look, practical nature, and accessible price point, the Speedy has remained one of Louis Vuitton’s most iconic and best-selling it bags for nearly a century.

· Trunk Inspiration ·
The metal corner guards and rivets are the Speedy Trunk’s defining design features, inspired by the brand’s archival trunk-making craftsmanship. The “softened” body material is a modern variation of the hard trunk, giving the bag a more relaxed, approachable look.

The trunk not only represents LV’s finest craftsmanship but also serves as an endless well of inspiration for the brand’s modern bags. In 1858, Louis Vuitton introduced the world’s first flat-topped trunk, using lightweight, durable waterproof canvas as the outer layer and poplar wood for the frame, making it easy to stack and transport — a hit among travelers.

All the hardware elements on the bag draw from archival trunk designs — metal corner guards and neatly aligned round rivets reinforce and decorate, infusing the bag with a classical touch.

The lightweight, soft construction adds a casual, practical dimension. Inside, there’s no rigid wooden panel; instead, the canvas’s own tension holds the three-dimensional shape, giving it an edge over traditional trunks in both weight and capacity.

· Two-Tone Monogram Canvas ·
The bag features a brown Monogram canvas body with Monogram Reverse canvas side panels — a two-tone design that feels younger and more playful.

LV’s most iconic and recognizable Monogram coated canvas was originally the fabric covering the wooden surface of travel trunks. Its advantages: lightweight, durable, water-resistant, and self-supporting.
The monogram pattern dates back to 1896, created as a canvas design for trunks and still used today. Inspired by Victorian-era Japanese “mon” crests, it combines the LV initials with four-petal flowers.

· Removable Strap ·
The bag comes with two leather top handles and a removable shoulder strap, allowing it to be carried by hand or worn crossbody. The arched handles echo the curved top line of the Boston bag, evoking the elegant, romantic arches found in architecture. The tubular handles, padded with black calfskin, are rounded and springy, remaining comfortable even after long hours of carrying.

· What Can This Bag Hold? ·
The Boston silhouette offers a flat base and generous storage. The interior is lined in black fabric, with a double-zip closure for easy access, and a metal padlock adds security.

With dimensions of 20 x 15 x 27 cm, the bag easily fits a standard smartphone, wallet, and more. We packed it with an iPad mini, notebook, perfume box, phone, tissues, coin purse, lipstick, and pen — and there was still room to spare. Plenty of space for your daily commute or a short getaway.
